Professional Experience

Mr. Manske has many years of experience in government relations and leads the firm's health care practice. He is a Partner in KP Public Affairs and has been affiliated with the firm since 1993. Mr. Manske also provides strategic counsel and advocacy services for clients with interests in telecommunications, environmental management, worker and occupational safety, and local government affairs. He is a registered lobbyist who represents client interests in the California Legislature, the Governor's Office and executive agencies. He has spearheaded a number of successful efforts for the firm's clients on issues of national significance.

His nearly 25 years in state and local government gives the firm added expertise in public policy development and analysis, legislative affairs, including legislation and state budget issues, and executive agencies with regard to regulatory matters, administrative decision-making, and procurement. Before joining KP, Mr. Manske served in dual roles as Chief of Staff to a member of the California State Assembly and as a Chief Consultant to a legislative committee. He also served as deputy director of a significant office within the Governor's Office.

His local government experience includes general city management, experience gained while working for a city manager of a mid-sized Los Angles County community, and public safety-related experience, including emergency preparedness and hazardous materials management.
