Professional Experience

Mr. Zenzola has over 15 years of experience developing and implementing legislative and regulatory advocacy strategies on behalf of financial services, insurance and technology clients. He has in-depth expertise in banking, consumer lending, internet search and advertising, insurance and information privacy. He has most recently focused on high-profile mortgage lending and foreclosure policy issues impacting the housing marketplace and on privacy and security breach policy efforts impacting the availability and use of personal and/or public information.

Prior to joining KP Public Affairs he served as Senior Vice President of Government Relations for Bank of America. He was responsible for developing and managing the legislative strategy for the bank in California and was the primary government relations liaison with the bank’s California business unit executives.

Mr. Zenzola also served as Vice President of Government Relations at the California Bankers Association with a focus on consumer lending issues. Additionally, he served as Government Relations Director for Household International, a diversified financial services and insurance corporation, in a multi-state territory. In this capacity he held several industry trade-group leadership positions including Chairman of the Board and Executive Board Chairman for the California Financial Services Association and President of the Nevada Consumer Finance Association.

Education

Mr. Zenzola graduated Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and also earned his master's degree in Industrial Relations from Loyola University, Chicago.
