Vanessa is a lobbyist at KP. With over a decade of lobbying and community organizing experience, she brings guidance to a wide range of activities, including lobbying in all areas of state government, leading coalitions, and building grassroots networks. Vanessa has extensive experience in lobbying the state budget and provides additional expertise for issues pertaining to healthcare, social services, and non-profit organizations.

  • Worked to expand access to healthcare coverage for over seven million Californians under the California Medi-Cal Program and Affordable Care Act
  • Led a first-in-the-nation effort to standardize prescription drug labels
  • Worked with numerous predominantly immigrant families to connect children to healthcare coverage and other community services
